Kazakhstan/Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between NEXI and KazakhExport
Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI)
Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI; Chairman and CEO: Atsuo Kuroda) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation (MOU) with the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan JSC (KazakhExport; Chairman of the Board: Allen Chaizhunussov).
The MOU was exchanged on December 19th between Mr. Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek Holding, the sole shareholder of KazakhExport, and Mr. Kazuki Hondo, Senior Managing Executive Officer of NEXI.
And it was presented by Mr. Rustam Karagoishin, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek holdings and Mr. Atsuo Kuroda, Chairman and CEO of NEXI, at the “Central Asia plus Japan” Business Forum held in Tokyo on December 20th with the presence of H.E. Mr. Nagaspaev Yersayin Kairgazievich, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Ryosei Akazawa, Minister of Economy, Trade and Investment of Japan.
In 2016, NEXI and KazExportGarant, the predecessor of KazakhExport signed a MOU1 to promote trade and investment by both countries and to third countries, and further our cooperation in the fields of mutural interests.
Recognizing the restructuring of Kazakhstan’s export credit agency, the newly signed MOU serves as a guideline for further development of the cooperation and relationship between KazakhExport and NEXI, in areas of facilitating the export of non-primary goods and services, sharing of experiences and developing the best financial solutions with the support of the each other.
NEXI will continue to further strengthen its cooperation and relationship with KazakhExport and continue to support Japaneses companies’ expansion to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
