Invitation to a Thematic Event at TICAD9

Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI, Chairman and CEO: Atsuo Kuroda) is pleased to announce that it will organize a thematic event titled “The Key to Success for Business in Africa ~Business Support Presented by NEXI and Financial Institutions~” at the Ninth Tokyo International Conference for African Development (TICAD9) to be held from August 20 to 22, 2025. This event will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Under the theme “Supporting the Business Expansion of Japanese Companies in Africa through Collaboration between NEXI and Overseas Financial Institutions (MDBs, DFIs and ECAs)”, we will invite guest speakers from international financial institutions based in Africa, foreign Export Credit Agencies and Japanese companies to present real-world examples of how NEXI and themselves have collaborated to support Japanese business in Africa. In addition, the event explores how Japanese companies could receive support from each institution, potential new risk hedging methods provided through the collaboration between NEXI and these institutions and prospects of business in Africa.

Through this event, we hope to provide information not only on export, investment and loan insurance of NEXI, but also on our support to investment and finance through collaboration with MDBs, DFIs and ECAs, as well as our support to exports from third countries to Africa. We also aim to highlight the potential areas of expansion into Africa and other developing countries, which we believe will be a valuable source of information for the future growth of your business.
