Canada/Signing MOU with Export Development Canada
Nippon Export and Investment Insurance
Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI) has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation with Export Development Canada (EDC).
The signing ceremony took place on October 17th between Mr. Todd Winterhalt, Senior Vice President of EDC and Kazuki Hondo, Senior Managing Executive Officer in Hamburg, Germany.
The government of Japan and Canada recognize themselves as important strategic partners under a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” and this conclusion of MOC is in line with this objective.
This MOU promises exchanging knowledges or business information and carrying out collaboration of specific projects by the development of cooperative relationship between NEXI and EDC. It is expected to promote trade and business between companies of both countries through exchanging of information and know-how in Indo-Pacific region and the corporation of both institutions to support trade or other economic cooperation between Japan and Canada.
NEXI will continue actively to support Japanese companies’ overseas business activities through close cooperation with foreign ECAs.
