NEXI signs an MOU with PT Pertamina (Persero)

Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI, Chairman and CEO: Atsuo Kuroda) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PT Pertamina, the state-owned energy company of the Republic of Indonesia.

The signing ceremony was held between NEXI and Pertamina at NEXI headquarters in Tokyo on December 15^th and the signed MOU was presented at the commemorating ceremony at the occasion of the “ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation Forum” held in December 16^th.

This MOU is aimed to discuss possibility to apply NEXI’s loan insurance for energy infrastructure projects as well as decarbonization projects in Indonesia and to seek for further opportunity in which Japanese companies would participate. Such collaboration with Pertamina aligns with the Asia Zero Emissions Community (AZEC) concept initiated by the government of Japan.
