NEXI Expresses Support for TCFD Recommendations and Joins TCFD Consortium

Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI, Chairman and CEO: Kazuhiko Bando) expressed its support for the recommendations released by the TCFD* (referred to as the “TCFD Recommendations”) and also joined the TCFD Consortium, a discussion forum on actions taken in accordance with the TCFD Recommendations on May 27,2019.

As Japan’s policy-based financial institution, NEXI will continue to support Japanese companies and financial institutions in their efforts to address the issues of environmental sustainability and climate change, including proactive disclosure of information related to the fields.

*Note: “TCFD” is an acronym for the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, an organization established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB).
