Nippon Export and Investment Insurance
NEXI has decided to provide Loan Insurance for loans extended to National Power Transmission Corporation ("NPT"). The loans are to be provided by Citibank Japan Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Limited., The Shizuoka Bank., Ltd. , The Tokyo Star Bank, Limited, The Bank of Fukuoka, The Gunma Bank Ltd. and The Chiba Bank, Ltd..
The purpose is this project to construct transmission line and substation in Southern area of Vietnam and also, this is approved by the government of Vietnam as one of the project in Power Development Plan Ⅶ. The outline of project scope is below.
①Duyen Hai – My Tho Line construction project
②Long Phu – Soc Trang Line construction project
③Long Phu – Can Tho – Tra Noc Line construction project
④Can Tho substation construction project
This project contributes to the stable supply of electricity in Vietnam, and also provides stable business and investment environment for Japanese company.
For The Bank of Fukuoka and The Gunma Bank Ltd., this project is the first to be insured of Loan Insurance.
NEXI will continue to participate in infrastructure project overseas especially in Asia and also the project for the business of Japanese company abroad.
