NEXI and EXIM Thailand To Jointly Hold the Seminar

Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI; Chairman and CEO: Atsuo Kuroda) and the Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) will jointly hold the Seminar on June 7, 2023 in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand (Thailand). This Seminar is supported by Embassy of Japan in Thailand and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Bangkok.
In addition, this Seminar is held as the event certified in line with “The 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation”.

Since NEXI concluded a reinsurance agreement with EXIM Thailand concerning importation and exportation in 2009, NEXI has been supporting the exporting transactions of Japanese affiliated companies in Thailand through reinsurance from EXIM Thailand.

In addition, NEXI concluded a new reinsurance agreement with EXIM Thailand concerning investments and loans in June 2019, which has enabled NEXI to provide support for joint investments/projects between Japanese and Thai companies through a reinsurance framework.

In this seminar, we will present the outline of the global risk environment surrounding overseas business and issues for Japanese companies, the role of export credit agencies considering that situation, and the details of support through the above-mentioned reinsurance framework interweaving specific examples to companies which are interested in expanding business through investment/exporting transactions into the third countries especially the Mekong Region.

We will also have the panel discussion by the Thai government officials concerning opportunities on investments and business in the Mekong Region and provide some points to note when expanding business in the region.

Thai companies will be also participating in the seminar, and Networking reception is planned after the closing. We would highly appreciate it if you could find time to be present on this occasion.
